Looking to recruit in 2014?


With the local economy growing we are looking to surpass 2013’s achievements and look forward to celebrate placing our 500th graduate! We are always on the lookout for new companies to work with and opportunities to fill.

Well it has been a busy year for the Graduate to Merseyside team, launching a brand new website and jobs board, hosting 2 successful events at the Liverpool Innovation Park, sponsoring the Sefton Economic Forum and just recently placing our 400th graduate! With the local economy growing we are fortunate to have worked with some amazing companies across Merseyside and have recruited graduates for some really interesting roles.

Stepping Stones: Get up to £3,000 for training when recruiting a Graduate


The University of Liverpool in partnership with the Liverpool City Region LEP is committed to supporting the local economy and is currently offering a training support package of up to £3,000 to local businesses recruiting graduates or students. Whilst you are still liable for their wages, the training allowance will help the successful candidate develop any specific skills that would directly benefit your business.

Sefton Economic Forum Review


A big thank you to everybody who attended the Sefton Economic Forum last month at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Southport and to InvestSefton for organising such a successful event.

In a nutshell, the objective of agility is to ensure that you can thrive in environments characterised by change without any compromise to cost or quality. Liverpool Graduate Careers Festival - Wednesday 9th October



There's still time to register for the Liverpool Graduate Careers Festival taking place on Wednesday 9th October.

We have 65 of the UK's top graduate employers at the event – all looking to talk to you about their graduate opportunities, work placements and internship schemes.

The event takes place from 10.30am to 3.30pm at St George's Hall in the city centre, and you can pre-register on our website to gain fast-track entry and beat the queues on the day.

An update on the North West Fund





As we enter the summer months, we are pleased with the progress The North West Fund has made throughout 2013. The first six months of the year saw investments reach £16 million in 49 new investments and 31 follow-on investments.

Free Help to Local Manufacturers through the Collaborate to Innovate (C2i) Project


The University of Liverpool Management School & Agile Business Solutions

The Collaborate to Innovate (C2i) Project is a novel, ERDF-funded partnership that has been formed between the University of Liverpool Management School and Agile Business Solutions in order to provide assistance to SMEs in the North West region.

KE-LAS (Knowledge Exchange in Laser Engineering)



The Knowledge Exchange in Laser Engineering (KE-LAS) project, started in June 2009, is a High Technology ERDF funded project for the benefit of NW based SMEs run by the Universities of Liverpool and Manchester. Its aims are to enable North West of the England SMEs to benefit from the advantages that laser technology offers across a broad range of sectors including Aerospace, Biomedical, Energy, Automotive, Manufacturing and Consumer Goods.

Nano Investigation Centre at Liverpool (NiCaL)




The new Nano Investigation Centre at Liverpool (NiCaL), which is part-funded by the Northwest European Regional Development Fund, opens up the field of electron microscopy to North West SMEs.
