Grow Your Business Event Summary

A big thank you to everyone who joined us at our recent ‘Grow Your Business’ event!

Held at the Liverpool Innovation Park (LIP) the event showcased several of the business support services available to assist regional business with their growth. With a healthy turnout of over 60 small to medium sized businesses and 15 regional support agencies, there was plenty of networking…

Graduate to Merseyside Project Manager Steve Wood spoke about the wealth of experience GtM has assisting organisations with their graduate recruitment, filling over 300 different vacancies from marketers to microbiologists.

Rob Capleton outlined how Growth Accelerator they can help ambitious businesses achieve rapid and sustainable growth through its personalised support packages.

Howard Fleming explained how Liverpool Vision’s Business Growth team can help with business growth including: exporting; finance; sales and marketing and coaching and mentoring. Howard speaking after the event noted that “the event went well and we made a lot of new contacts”.

Phil McAbe from the Federation of Small Businesses, the UK’s largest campaigning pressure group, highlighted the lobbying activities carried out that protect the interests of its 200,000 members.

Finally, Delyth Lloyd, Innovation Manager at LIP, showcased the extensive facilities on offer for potential businesses at LIP. Delyth was extremely pleased with the event: “LIP is designed to foster business relationships between tenants and the local business community. Hosting events with key partners such as Liverpool University is the ideal way to encourage business interaction and make new introductions.”

Following the presentations there was ample opportunity to network and to speak directly to the business support services above in the exhibition area.
