Graduate of the Month: Lulu

Every month we’ll be highlighting examples of some of the many quality graduates looking for work in the Merseyside region. With a wide range of transferable skills and specialist knowledge, they can add value to any business. This month we profile Lulu, a creative and professional University of Liverpool Communications, Media and Popular Music graduate with experience of working in marketing and social media is looking to further her career.

Lulu is a creative and professional University of Liverpool Communications, Media and Popular Music graduate with experience of working in marketing and social media

Her latest role as a Marketing Assistant has equipped her with valuable marketing and administration skills. She has also become a confident, professional communicator via telephone, email and face-to-face and honed her writing skills on a professional level. She was responsible for researching and implementing a new CRM system for the company and assisting with all marketing channels both traditional and digital.

Passionate about media she produced, presented and promoted a radio show on LSRadio interviewing local bands and artists, as well as getting them to perform live acoustic sets. With further experience at a record label and hospitality, she has developed effective interpersonal and communication skills which I still put into practice in a professional situation.

From her studies and working part time in hospitality and at a record label, she gained skills in time management and coping with competing deadlines whilst completing work to a high standard. Aside from music, she is also a keen photographer, and runs an online portfolio which is updated regularly.

With already possessing marketing industry experience she is now looking for a role that will make use of and build on the skills she already has.
